Job Responsibilities

Lead the Building Division, Ensure compliance with local and state building codes, Oversee inspections and permitting processes, Collaborate with contractors and developers, Manage staff and allocate resources effectively, Develop policies and procedures for building safety, Serve as a liaison between the city and community stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Local Inspector Certification, Ability to obtain Inspector of Buildings Certification within 18 months, Experience in building code enforcement, Familiarity with construction practices and safety regulations

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of building codes, Proficiency in inspection techniques, Familiarity with zoning laws, Strong communication skills, Leadership and management abilities, Problem-solving skills, Understanding of local construction practices, Knowledge of safety regulations
