Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building inspection and plan examination, Massachusetts State certification as Local Inspector (or ability to obtain within 12 months), In-depth knowledge of ICC and Massachusetts Building Codes, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work with diverse personalities in various situations, Inspector of Buildings/Building Commissioner certification (preferred), Knowledge of Massachusetts State Law 40A the Zoning Act (preferred), Commitment to continuous educational advancement (preferred).
