Job Responsibilities

Administer applicable codes, Review plans and specifications for compliance, Conduct field inspections to ensure adherence to codes, Address construction-related inquiries, Issue notices to correct unsafe conditions, Ensure adequate egress facilities in buildings, Certify safe egress facilities according to the Massachusetts State Building Code, Maintain accurate records of inspections and compliance actions

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Local Building Inspector, Five years of experience in building supervision or design, Associate degree in building construction or design (preferred), Certification within 18 months of hire (preferred)
